"What Have I Done?"
This weekend was packed in the best kind of way. We went swimming, hit the bike park, and spent a lot of time outside with the kids — but the standout moment wasn’t about the kids at all.

It was about a decision.

My wife and I signed up for Metrix - a high-intensity fitness event that’s just seven weeks away. No backing out now. It’s locked in. The kind of event where you need to train, show up, and push through.

There’s just one small issue: I’m not fit. Not yet. I’ve not been training properly, and it would’ve been far easier to say “maybe next time” or “let’s get in shape first.”

But I’ve done that before. We all have — waiting until things feel “ready” before committing. So this time, we flipped it: sign up first, figure it out as we go.

That shift made all the difference. Suddenly, every small action — a walk, a better meal choice, skipping that extra drink — starts to align with the bigger goal. It gives everything new energy. Because now there’s a deadline, a reason, a finish line.

And honestly? It’s exactly the same in business and content creation.

We put things off waiting to feel more prepared. We say we’ll start posting “once the brand is clearer,” or launch the product “once we’ve done a bit more research.” But the real momentum comes after you commit. Once the goal is real, your decisions start lining up with it. You get scrappier, more focused, more intentional - not because it’s easier, but because it matters now.

Think: Are you waiting to feel ready before starting something big? Or are you brave enough to sign up now — and let the goal pull you forward?
