1 short story that makes you think.

"The London Trip"
We spent the long weekend in London — our first proper family trip to the capital. The idea was simple: show the kids the sights, soak up the city, and squeeze a bit of adventure into three days.

And we did. We walked more than we should’ve, got lost a few times, queued in places we didn’t mean to, and still managed to see the usual landmarks. It was fun. But it was also nonstop. Crowded streets, busy trains, overstimulated kids — and adults doing their best to keep the energy up.

Then came the moment we didn’t plan for: halfway through a packed Underground journey, our 3-year-old got sick. Properly, unexpectedly, and messily unwell — right there on the train. No warning, no time to react. Just instant stress, a mess at our feet, and eyes turning our way.

But here’s the thing — people stepped in. Total strangers. One handed us tissues. Another moved their bag to give us more space. Someone quietly smiled and said, “Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.” In a city known for its rush, we were reminded that it’s still full of kindness.

And it struck me how similar that is to running a business or creating content. We plan the journey. We map the strategy. We try to anticipate what could go wrong. But when things get messy — and they will — it’s not always systems or tools that save the day. It’s people. A helpful comment. A bit of feedback. A stranger who shares your post. A quiet show of support when you least expect it.

We spend so much time building the infrastructure — the website, the workflow, the funnels — that we forget how powerful it is to build relationships too. Because when the wheels wobble, it’s the human stuff that really keeps things on track.

Think: Are you building your business like a route map, trying to control every stop along the way? Or are you also making room for the unexpected — and the people who might show up to help when you need it most?
