I went to Jail, Wheel of life, Sit down and bleed

👋 Hey there, Mike here.

I hope you had a great weekend. I'm writing this from an aeroplane flying to Greece for a week's holiday with my family (k, you got me, I wrote this one in advance).

Enjoy 1 short story, 2 incredible examples, 1 great video.

1 short story that makes you think.

I went to Jail. No, I didn't commit a crime or stand trial. I am guilty of a bit of clickbait, though—forgive me. This week, I visited The Clink, a restaurant at HMP Styal.

The concept is simple, it's a restaurant that offers women prisoners full-time work within a true-to-life restaurant and kitchen environment.

It's beautiful, the food is excellent, and TripAdvisor reviews back it up with a 5.0* rating.

No matter how your product or service is perceived, you can make the experience outstanding with fantastic service and a great product.

It's all about the customer, after all.

Think: Are you doing everything you can to make your product experience outstanding and putting the focus on the customer?

2 examples of incredible content.

1/ The Wheel of Life

The Wheel of Life is an excellent example of a microsite/lead magnet that converts visitors to a waitlist for Ali's productivity lab. I like microsites like this that draw you to a product or service.

2/ Wolverine+Deadpool/Ketchup+Mustard

What a perfectly timed advert linked to a recent movie premiere. It shows the value of viral marketing campaigns related to popular trending events.

1 great video I know you’ll enjoy.

This week, I wanted to share this video, "The Dark Side of Being a YouTuber." It's based on a quote from Ernest Hemingway.

There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.

I liked it because it transcends just YouTube. It applies to all Content Creators.
